Meet Teri

Hi, I’m Teri, a wine professional from South Australia, living by the stunning coastline of the Fleurieu Peninsula, just a stone’s throw from McLaren Vale. Growing up in this iconic wine region, my life has always revolved around the world of wine.

I began my career working in cellar doors, gaining experience with renowned wineries like Penfolds and d’Arenberg, before transitioning into e-commerce, managing accounts for Vivino Australia. My qualifications include WSET Levels 2 and 3, and I’m currently pursuing the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines. I also hold a Double Diploma in Travel, Tourism, and Business Management.

During a few years spent in the Netherlands, I embraced the challenge of launching my own ventures and overcoming language barriers and a lack of local wineries. I provided consulting services, helping companies design urban cellar doors, create unique wine experiences, and develop marketing, sales, brand, and wine education strategies.

Throughout this journey, I’ve nurtured my passion for wine writing, contributing to global publications including the likes of Decanter.

In 2024, I was honoured to be named the Wine Media Cadet by the Wine Communicators of Australia, embarking on an eight-month mentorship focused on enhancing my wine writing and communication skills. As part of this cadetship, I had the privilege of joining the Adelaide delegation at the Great Wine Capitals Annual Conference in Verona, Italy, to promote South Australia as one of the world’s Great Wine Capitals.
